Standard 8. Community of Interest Goal. The purposes of this goal are explained as evaluation and improvement of the program and the PPE experience, targeting employers, PPE sites and supervisors. However, the stated target outcomes and corresponding steps to achieve do not address how the program assesses the needs of its communities of interest (beyond student PPE performance) and how the program serves as a source of continued education.
Standard 26. Curriculum Syllabi and Competencies. Competencies covered in each course are not properly attributed to AHIMA.
While point detail in Blackboard at MyGrades is useful, students are not provided at the outset of each course with sufficient detail to explain how they will be evaluated. This information should be found in the syllabi for all courses. There is no list of major graded components in the course with corresponding grade weighting.
