Standard 15. Program Director Responsibilities. The Program Director holds two chair roles and teaches in two programs. Lack of adequate release time is a concern. Administrative consideration of release time for the HCA program chair position and addition of new faculty for this program are apparently underway, but details are pending.
Standard 24. The Curriculum. Curriculum competency VI.H.3 – New case study assignment HIMT 250 addresses discrimination with respect to the Americans with Disability Act at level 5. Level is appropriate, but not clear what students are expected to evaluate beyond legal aspects of the ADA. Assignment needs revision to more clearly address this subdomain on cultural diversity issues affecting health, quality, cost. Not yet implemented.
