Accreditation Actions

April 2018 Accreditation Action: Accept the Progress Report.

Rationale: The program is compliant with all Standards.

Accreditation Award: Continuing Accreditation.

September 2017 Accreditation Action: Grant ten years of Continuing Accreditation with a Progress Report. The program remains non-compliant with the following Accreditation Standards:
The following Standards are Partially Met:
Standard 2. Program Mission. While a new program mission statement is provided in the response, there is no indication where it has been published. It does not appear on the program website.
Standard 4. Program Goals. Recommend revising the Communities of Interest goal to address specifically how feedback will be obtained from graduates, and how the gap analysis will be performed. The outcome is focused on reviewing textbooks, but unclear how course content will be reviewed. This could also be considered a Curriculum Goal – consider establishing a separate Curriculum Goal related to the gap analysis specific to reviewing course content. Also recommend reviewing the plan overall to ensure that the appropriate information is included in the goals vs. outcomes.
Standard 5. Curriculum Goal. The curriculum goal and target outcome remains vague relating only to review of the textbooks. Expand this goal under #4.
Standard 8. Communities of Interest Goal. Recommend revising the Communities of Interest goal to address specifically how feedback will be obtained from graduates, and how the gap analysis will be performed. The outcome is focused on reviewing textbooks, but unclear how course content will be reviewed.
Standard 25. Curriculum Sequence. The program has provided an action plan to re-sequence courses and content as recommended by the site visit team.
Standard 26. Curriculum Syllabi and Competencies. While some content areas appear to be revised or new activities added, implementation within the program is unclear. With numerous content issues to be revised and the overall course sequencing to be implemented, the program must provide revised syllabi highlighting in yellow the content revisions and where in each class schedule the new content appears.
Standard 27. Curriculum Evaluation. The program has presented an action plan to address improvements in tests and other evaluations methods. The institution has contracted with an external company to offer exam proctoring services.
