November 2020 Accreditation Action: Grant seven years of Continuing Accreditation with a Progress Report. The program remains non-compliant with the following Standards:
The following Standards are Partially Met:
Standard 4. Program Goals. The Student and Graduate Goal does not provide a plan for evaluating how the educational needs of students are met. Under the Communities of Interest Goal, the Target Outcome is not measurable and the Steps to Achieve and Results for this goal lacks pertinent details.
Standard 7. Students and Graduates Goal. The Target Outcome of “100% of students will take the RHIT exam prior to graduation” does not measure how the educational needs of students are met.
Standard 8. Communities of Interest Goal. The Target Outcome does not have a form of measurement to effectively meet this goal. To effectively evaluate the Goal, the Steps to Achieve should describe the necessary steps the Program is taking in efforts to meet the Target Outcome.
Standard 24. The Curriculum. Competency VI.D.2 is Partially Met as assignment HIT 2713 Health Care Supervision – Case Study 5.26 Labor and Employment Laws, does not address the state labor regulations aspect of the competency.
