May 2022 Accreditation Action: Grant seven years of Continuing Accreditation with a Progress Report. The program remains non-compliant with the following 2018 Standard:

Standard 18.  Curriculum. The following curriculum competencies remain Not Met:
 
I.3. The assignment does not address data integrity.
 
I.6. No response from program.
 
III.5. Research methodologies are not used in the assignment.
 
IV.2.RM. The assignment does not evaluate the revenue cycle process.
 
VI.4. This is the leadership domain and the assignment is about clinical evaluation. Coding performance, etc. should be used here.
 
The following curriculum competencies remain Partially Met:
 
Math Statistics – They added exercises. I do not see documentation of working with the math department nor does math statistics comprise 50% of the current class. The provided documentation is from the health care stats book and does not dive deep enough into statistics.
 
1.1. The proposed assignment does not help the students understand health care organization’s key stakeholders perspectives.
1.4. The students are documenting where diagnoses are found in the chart. I think I would suggest that they use the assignment in I.3 ab ove to meet this competency.
 
II.2. The case somewhat addresses security. The case is confusing and the two questions the students answer don’t address security.
 
III.1. It’s is unclear how they are applying the principles of health informatics in these assignments. The third assignment is about data quality and could be used for I.3. above.
