Standard 18.  Curriculum. The following curriculum competencies are Partially Met:
I.1 – Changes have not yet been implemented. JC assignment meets this competency, but Code of Ethics does not.
I.2 – Changes have not yet been implemented. When implemented, this will be Met. DOH assignment seems to meet the competency, but needs additional instructions to the student.
I.3 – Changes have not yet been implemented. When implemented, this will be Met.

III.6 – Changes have not yet been implemented. Recommend that students be exposed to either Access or SQL since Excel is not a database. Breach assignment may be used elsewhere, but it does not meet this competency.
III.6DM – Changes have not yet been implemented. Document destruction assignment may be used elsewhere but does not meet this competency. The Tableau assignment also is a good one but does not demonstrate the use of managing data in a database system.  As with III.6, students should be exposed to either Access or SQL to meet this competency. You may explore some additional simulation products for this assignment that may use queries.

IV.2 – Changes have not yet been implemented. Be sure that the DNFB assignment referred to in the Site Review is available in the course as well as the POA assignment.  Once implemented, this is Met.
VI.1 – New assignments were provided which are not indicative of leadership skills. (creating an organization chart). Assignment addressing communication between an MD and the HIM Director, is important, but not addressing leadership skills.  Provide assignments that reflect the demonstration of fundamental leadership skills.
VI.2 – Changes have not yet been implemented.  The site team referenced a Mergers and Acquisitions assignment which will meet this competency. However, this was not resubmitted for review. The assignment with the Pert Chart is not applicable for this competency.
