Rationale: The program is compliant with all Standards.
Accreditation Award: Continuing Accreditation.
September 2023 Accreditation Action: Grant seven years of Continuing Accreditation with a Progress Report. The program remains non-compliant with the following 2018 Standards:
Standard 5. Program Planning and Assessment. Unable to locate evidence of program or curriculum assessment. The program mentions having conversations about program and curriculum improvements with no evidence regarding measurement of success or changes. A University policy is provided regarding program review, however, the program mentions that it is not required to follow such policies since it is accredited by CAHIIM. Therefore, no actual documentation is provided related to the assessments as noted in the University policy.
Standard 6: Implementation of Program Planning and Annual Assessment Results. No actual evidence as mentioned in the program’s feedback regarding the updates added to courses based on student ideas, employer surveys or the advisory meetings. Unable to determine how the program uses this information to form a course of action to improve the program. Uploads mainly include addition and deletion policies for courses through university policy.
Standard 18. Curriculum. The following Curriculum Competencies are Partially Met:

V1. EHR Go assignments do not meet level 4. Consider legal processes such as having the students respond to a scenario given an authorization and determining the steps to releasing the information, responding to a subpoena duces tecum, or related to releasing information.
